Dustin Ferguson, a doctoral graduate teaching associate from the sunny state of Florida, received both his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music in Wind Band Conducting from the University of Florida. His primary conducting influences are Russel C. Mikkelson, David Waybright,  Michael Butler and Jaclyn Hartenberger.

Prior to coming to Ohio, Ferguson taught in the South Florida public schools where his ensembles consistently earned Superior ratings at the district and state level, awards and national recognitions. He is a sought-after clinician for concert and jazz camps, as well as a saxophonist; he has been teaching privately for nearly 10 years.

Ferguson’s professional affiliations include National Association for Music Education, Florida Music Education Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
