Katherine Borst Jones, professor of flute, presented a clinic for thirty flute students from Northmore City Schools, Crestline Exempted Village, Galion City and Colonel Crawford Local School District, organized by Brian Griffin from Crestline High School. Students performed solos and participated in a clinic covering flute fundamentals such as tone, breathing, articulation, vibrato and phrasing.

The School of Music visited Ottawa County for its OMEA District 2 Honors Festival. Christopher Hoch, associate professor and director of Marching and Athletic Bands, directed the Honors Band; Mark Rudoff, professor of cello, directed the Honors Orchestra in the final concert on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Port Clinton High School.

Heather Lofdahl, assistant professor of string music education led a pre-National Orchestra Festival clinic with the Pickerington High School North Orchestra students on Nov. 13. They are preparing to attend, perform in, and compete in the National Orchestra Festival (NOF) in March 2024.
The Ohio State University School of Music presents over 100 concerts, lectures and master classes each year. All are open to the public — most are free.
