Chorale (Robert J. Ward, conductor) with the Wind Symphony. Featuring the new edition (wind band and choir) of A Silence Haunts Me by Jake Runestad. The text of this piece describes the psychological angst that Beethoven must have felt knowing he was going deaf.

Feb. 22 — 4 p.m. | Dublin Presbyterian Church | 5775 Dublinshire Dr., Dublin 43017 | Free
Featured Chorale songs are “How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place” from A German Requiem by Johannes Brahms, Alleluia by Elaine Hagenberg. and Over the Rainbow by Harold Arlen in a wonderful arrangement by Mark Hayes.  MGC will feature a traditional Swahili/Kenyan song arranged by William McKee, and a spiritual (I Can’t Tarry) written by David Morrow. The spiritual features Greg Smith, a voice major at Ohio State.

April 10 — 7 p.m. | Tinora Performing Arts Center | 5855 Domersville Rd., Defiance, OH 43512. This is a ticketed event through the Tinora Performing Arts Center.
MGC will feature two love songs: Imagine Me and You (as recorded by The Turtles) and Take a Chance (as recorded by Abba). Chorale will sing Laudate Dominum by Hungarian composer Levente Gyongyosi and If Music be the Food of Love by Stephen Paulus.

April 19 — 4 p.m. | Kenton High School | Performing Arts Center | 751 Wildcat Way (new address), Kenton, OH | Free
This joint concert with Women's Glee Club helps celebrate the opening of the new auditorium at the high school. MGC will feature A Jubilant Gloria by Robert Seely, and Benedicamus Gloria by Krzysztof Penderecki.
