Education
The Master of Arts in Music Education degree is designed for music educators who wish to refine their craft and examine the profession in more depth, either full-time or through evening and summer courses.
Musicology
The MA in musicology is a terminal degree. Students intending to continue for the doctorate should enroll in the post-baccalaureate PhD program.

Certificates and Specialty Programs
Graduate Certificate in College and University Teaching
This Certificate is open to any graduate student in the School of Music who is considering a career in college or university teaching. It may be particularly beneficial for students who wish to develop competency in a secondary teaching area or for those who intend to pursue employment at teaching-focused institutions.
Singing Health Specialization Program (SHS)
The Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Singing Health offers advanced professional training in voice disorders, vocal health maintenance, and pedagogical applications of voice science. The Specialization equips professionals from Speech and Hearing Science and Medicine with an understanding of the needs of singers; and it equips singers and other professional voice users with tools and knowledge to preserve vocal health and support doctors, therapists and teachers who work with professional voice users.
The Specialization is an invaluable resource for the medical, academic and scientific communities in dealing with voice care, maintenance and training for a wide variety of professional voice users including singers, actors, teachers and public speakers.
Ethnomusicology
The School of Music offers interdisciplinary studies in Ethnomusicology.
