Greetings and welcome to the Ohio State University Trombone Studio web page! The "Buckeye Bones" are more than a collection of trombone players, but rather a family. Our students are held to the highest level of professionalism, and our approach to learning encourages discussion and debate. This ultimately leads to learning from your fellow studio members. Our students are encouraged to think beyond the sheet music, becoming not only proficient artists and educators but great citizens for the betterment of our society. Please explore these web pages to learn more about our studio, meet current students and alumni, as well as watch and listen to musical samples from our trombone ensemble.

Lecturer of Trombone
Choosing where to continue your musical journey beyond high school is a critical decision. Having the opportunity to meet with your trombone professor, collaborate with current Ohio State trombone students, and to explore the beautiful campus here in Columbus are all excellent reasons to schedule a visit. I am happy to offer all prospective trombone students the opportunity to come to campus for a complimentary private lesson.
You may also wish to attend our Admissions Visit Days, schedule a visit to the School of Music or contact Tanya Sparks, School of Music Admissions Coordinator, at email@example.com or 614-688-0372. Visit Undergraduate Admissions.
Ready to apply? Remember, application to The Ohio State University is separate from application and audition to the School of Music.
The audition process for prospective MM and DMA students begins with sending an email to Professor Tanner, expressing your interest in the graduate program at Ohio State. This program is designed to provide students with all the skills, support and competencies necessary to take on competitive musical employment. Professor Tanner invites you to schedule a complimentary private lesson with him in an effort to offer guidance and mentorship for prospective graduate students.
