String Day

We invite high school string players (violin, viola, cello, double bass) throughout Ohio and neighboring regions to join us for an exciting day of performances, reading sessions, masterclasses, and collaboration with the Ohio State string students. You will have an opportunity to work one-on-one with our string faculty and side-by-side with current students.

Registration Details
ELIGIBILITY — For violin, viola, cello and double bass players in grades 9–12.
FEE — $40 (includes pizza lunch and closing reception)
REGISTRATION DEADLINE — Sunday, Sept. 20
Registration will open here on Monday, Aug. 24.
PERMISSION FORMS — 3–5 days after you register and pay, parents/guardians and participants will receive permission forms via DocuSign shortly after registration is complete. All forms must be returned by the DocuSign deadline in order to participate.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Approximately one week before the program, participants and parents/guardians will receive an email with basic information about arrival, parking and check-in.

- 11 a.m. — Check-in at the Timashev Family Music Building north lobby
- 12–12:30 p. m. — Q&A session with Ohio State string faculty
- 12:30–1:30p.m. — Lunch break (pizza provided)
- 2 p.m. — Master classes for each instrument (violin, viola, cello, bass)
- 3 p.m. — Chamber music reading session with Ohio State string students
- 4 p. m. — Q&A with current string students
- 4:30 p. m. — Departure
