The School of Music at Ohio State offers a diverse series of summer programs specifically designed to further students' understanding of — and love for — music. Our dedicated faculty has crafted rich experiences to engage the individual as a musician, person and scholar.

Morning String Student Workshop Update

Dr. Robert Gillespie retired from The Ohio State University School of Music in the spring of 2020 following a long and distinguished career in higher education. With his retirement also comes the retirement of the Morning String Student Workshop (MSSW), a summer program that served thousands of young string musicians over the years. Thank you, Dr. Gillespie, for inspiring generations of string musicians through MSSW and best wishes for a joy-filled retirement!
