Designed for middle school musicians. Summer Singers provides an opportunity for singers with treble, unchanged voices entering grades 6 – 9 to develop vocal technique and musicianship skills in a fun, fast-paced and challenging choral ensemble setting.
Middle School Concert Band Academy is specifically designed for middle level concert band musicians to enrich their understanding of music in an enjoyable, non-competitive and positive week-long program, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Morning String Student Workshop: Summer string playing for students entering grades 4 – 9, with at least one year of playing experience. This two-week program brings students to campus from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Resident Programs (with a commuter option)
Flute Workshop: Five-day workshop focused on enhancing students' musical and performance skills.
Jazz Camp: Five-day immersion in jazz styles and studies with an emphasis on performance and improvisation. For intermediate and advanced jazz students with at least one year of jazz experience.
Ohio State Marching Band Summer Clinic: Three-day clinic for high school marching band students to improve their marching skills. Participants learn the music and military-style marching fundamentals used by the Ohio State Marching Band. For brass and percussion students with at least one year of marching band experience.
Saxophone Camp: Four-day program for high school saxophonists exploring both jazz and classical genres of musicianship.
