Each October, the School of Music invites high school juniors and seniors to take part in a special “Practice Audition Day.” Students considering music as a major in college are encouraged to take this opportunity to meet Ohio State faculty and students, observe classes, and have a practice audition evaluated by faculty.
Typically offered on a Saturday morning or week night, our Virtual Visit Events are a casual one-hour admissions experience where you will gain an overview of all that the School of Music offers, a basic introduction to the application and audition process and have an opportunity to connect with faculty and current students. These Virtual Visits are open to all high school musicians and their parents.
High school musicians (and parents) who are curious about majoring in music at Ohio State are invited to meet School of Music faculty and students on campus to learn about ensembles, the music education degree, preparing for college music theory, the admissions process, musical opportunities for students in other majors, scholarships and financial aid, tips on auditioning and more.
