Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Practice Audition Day

Each October, the School of Music invites high school juniors and seniors to take part in a special “Practice Audition Day.” Students considering music as a major in college are encouraged to take this opportunity to meet Ohio State faculty and students, observe classes, and have a practice audition evaluated by faculty.

Spring Visit Day

High school musicians (and parents) who are curious about majoring in music at Ohio State are invited to meet School of Music faculty and students on campus to learn about ensembles, the music education degree, preparing for college music theory, the admissions process, musical opportunities for students in other majors, scholarships and financial aid, tips on auditioning and more.

Request an individual visit

Visit us on campus and meet with Admissions Coordinator Tanya Sparks. Take a tour of the Timashev Music Building, discuss degree options, audition requirements and more.
