School of Music Ambassadors are a select, diverse group of juniors and seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication skills and pride in our music community.

Meet our School of Music Ambassadors for 2025–2026.

Student Ambassadors have the important role of interacting with prospective students and their families on audition days, at recruitment events and during individual visits. Ambassadors will also assist with other special School of Music activities (such as High School Honor Band and the Celebration Youth Concert), and may be asked by the director of the School of Music to meet with donors or speak at other university engagements.

Students selected as Ambassadors attend leadership and professional development training, and should expect to devote approximately 20 hours per academic year to their role.

Ambassador applications for Academic Year 2026–2027

The application and selection process for the School of Music Ambassador program takes place each year in Spring semester.

Students must name two faculty recommenders in the application form, then share the recommendation link provided in the confirmation email with the named faculty members.

Student applications are due Friday, April 10, 2026. 

Student Ambassador Application will open here in late March.

Faculty recommendations are due Friday, April 17, 2026.

Ambassadors will be selected by Friday, May 1, 2026.
