André Felipe is a graduate teaching associate in Music Education at The Ohio State University. Prior to this appointment he worked for 8 years at Nucleos Estaduais de Orquestras Juvenis e Infantis da Bahia (NEOJIBA), a social music program in Bahia, Brazil, inspired by the Venezuelan El Sistema. He served as the Theory and General Music Coordinator, beyond three years' experience as a Nucleo Coordinator, managing a music center with more than 100 children and adolescents, in both the musical education and administrative areas. There he could testify to the exciting potential music education may have in children's and families' lives.
