
Enjoy this annual concert showcasing chamber and solo performances by faculty artists in a unique collage setting. Compositions by Demersseman, Gillespie, Hill, Jacobi, Kennan, Kovacs, McCarty, Piazzola, Powell, Wells and Williams.
Solo and chamber artists include James Akins, Native American flute; Joseph Duchi, bass trombone; Caroline Hartig, clarinet; Bruce Henniss, Alphorn; Katherine Borst Jones, flute; Joseph Krygier and Susan Powell (Pendulum Duo), percussion; Karen Pierson, bassoon; Lynn Singleton and Sekyeong Seong, piano duo; Kia-Hui Tan, violin; Michael Rene Torres, saxophone; Shawn Wallace, alto saxophone.
Participating collaborative pianists are Ed Bak, Casey L. Cook, Sekyeong Seong, Maria Staeblein, Thomas Wells and Jiung Yoon.
Tango Telectric, a faculty/staff group, will perform Thomas Wells' Tango para Vera. David Clampitt, violin; Paul Robinson, double bass; Mark Rubinstein, accordion and Thomas Wells, piano.
Jazz Studies' faculty ensemble, The Ohio Nonet, performs John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie's arrangement of Tin Tin Deo, transcribed by Anthony Stanco. Combo includes Anthony Stanco, trumpet; Kris Keith, alto sax; Shawn "Thunder" Wallace, tenor sax and flute; Jim Masters, trombone; Kevin Turner, guitar; Dave Powers, piano; Andy Woodson, bass; Jim Rupp, drum set and Michael Smith, percussion.
