Student Funding Opportunities

Some grant applications ask that you list the department Fiscal Officer. The School of Music’s fiscal officer is Jackie Shreves, shreves.5@osu.edu.
Undergraduate
- Undergraduate Scholarship Assistance — For undergraduate music majors in good standing. Funding is based on availability.
- The Brahms Fund Small Cash Grant — Small cash grants are available upon application to deserving and needy undergraduate students for the purchase of supplies, scores, instrument repair, and other expenses related to the study of music.
- Undergraduate Research Small Grants — Provided by the College of Arts and Sciences. Designed to enhance opportunities for undergraduate students in the Arts & Humanities to conduct research and complete creative activities.
- School of Music Travel Grants — Undergraduate and Graduate students who are enrolled full-time in a degree program in the School of Music are eligible to apply.
- The Irma Cooper Endowment Fund for International Studies in Music — Only School of Music majors are eligible to apply. Preference is given to students majoring in voice or piano performance, but all music majors may apply.
Graduate
- Graduate Research Small Grants Program — Provided by the College of Arts and Sciences. Restricted to currently enrolled students in arts and humanities programs.
- School of Music Travel Grants — Undergraduate and Graduate students who are enrolled full-time in a degree program in the School of Music are eligible to apply.
- The Irma Cooper Endowment Fund for International Studies in Music — Only School of Music majors are eligible to apply. Preference is given to students majoring in voice or piano performance, but all music majors may apply.
