The Irma Cooper Endowment Fund for International Studies in Music

Fund Description

The Irma Cooper Endowment Fund for International Studies in Music was established April 5, 2002, by the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University with gifts from Irma Cooper, Professor Emeritus in the School of Music, Columbus, Ohio.

The annual income shall be used to support international activities for students in the School of Music.

Eligibility

Only School of Music majors are eligible to apply. Preference is given to students majoring in voice or piano performance, but all music majors may apply.

Application Process

Individuals need to complete the Irma Cooper Fund for International Studies application and turn it in to the Associate Director’s Office. Applications must be endorsed by a faculty member.

Application review begins March 1; the application deadline is March 31.


Review Process

Applications will be reviewed by the Associate Director, in consultation with the appropriate Area Head and the Director, as needed. Application review begins on March 1 with a March 31 deadline to apply. The proposal review will consist of an overall assessment of the merits of the proposed trip as well as an assessment of the merits of the application itself.
