Registration and Payment Procedures

for Viola Day


Students in grades 4 – 12

  • Student registration deadline: Tuesday, September 5, 2017
  • Evaluator deadline: Friday, September 8, 2017

NOTE: The evaluation from your school ensemble teacher or private instructor will be used to place you in an appropriate chamber ensemble for the day and will inform Viola Day ensemble coaches of your background and playing experience. Name your evaluator while completing the online registration form, and that individual will receive a link to the evaluation form via email.

Student registration for Viola Day consists of three steps:

Step OneRegistration.

  • Online registration for Students in Grades 4–12 is now CLOSED.

After submitting an online registration, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it, one of three things has happened:

  • The email address you entered on your form may be incorrect
  • The confirmation email was sent to your SPAM box
  • The online registration was not received by our system

If you do not find the confirmation email in your SPAM box or within two hours of submitting a registration, contact the Viola Day registrar for further instructions.

Step TwoPayment. Pay the participation fee online according to the instructions contained in your confirmation email. You will receive an email receipt within a few moments of submitting payment.

If you choose to pay with a check (made payable to "The Ohio State University"), mail payment to the School of Music at the address below. You will receive confirmation by email within 7 – 10 business days.

Step ThreeRequired forms. Parents or guardians are required to print out, complete, sign, and send the following forms:

  1. Parental Permission Form (generic) [pdf]
  2. Ohio State Photo Release Form [pdf]

Mail the completed and signed forms to the address above, or scan and email them to the Viola Day registrar.

Payment and paperwork are due Friday, September 15, 2017.

You will receive a welcome email with further instructions about program attendance approximately two weeks before the event.


Adults/College Students

Registration deadline: Tuesday, September 5, 2017

Procedures for adults/college students consists of two steps:

Step One Registration. (If you are a member of a pre-formed college group, register as an individual.)

  • Online registration for Adults/College Students is now CLOSED.

After submitting an online registration, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it, one of three things has happened:

  • The email address you entered on your form may be incorrect
  • The confirmation email was sent to your SPAM box
  • The online registration was not received by our system

If you do not find the confirmation email in your SPAM box or within two hours of submitting a registration, contact the Viola Day registrar for further instructions.

Step TwoPayment. Pay the participation fee ($40 per person) online according to the instructions contained in your confirmation email. You will receive an email receipt within a few moments of submitting payment.

If you choose to pay with a check (made payable to "The Ohio State University"), mail payment to the School of Music at the address below. You will receive confirmation by email within 7 – 10 business days.
