The Ohio State University School of Music is pleased to present its Seventh Annual Viola Day on October 2. Students in grades 7–12 (minimum of one year of playing experience required) and adult violists of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to work with Ohio State School of Music faculty, viola student mentors, and guests. Participants will rehearse and perform as part of an all-viola orchestra. The day will include a series of breakout sessions on a wide range of topics such as:
- Best methods for practicing
- Rhythm classes
- Improvisation workshops
- Bow and left-hand technique
…and more. The day concludes with a concert at 5 p.m.

ELIGIBILITY: Students in grades 7–12 with minimum of 1 year playing experience, and adult violists of all ages and abilities
PROGRAM FEE: $30 per person (includes music, instruction and afternoon snack)
