He gave it the humorous subtitle From of an Invalid's Workshop. The work demonstrates the composer’s most mature musical language (only six years prior to his death), in a three-movement symphonic form. Due to its difficulty, the work is rarely heard in live performance.Additionally programmed is Guillermo Lago's "Addis Ababa" from Ciudades, featuring student saxophonists Lucinda Dunne, soprano; Cooper Greenlees, alto; Sean Bauman, tenor, and Colin Fogerty, baritone.Russel C.
