Benjamin Britten's chilling opera The Turn of the Screw, based on the Henry James story, tells the adventure of a Governess and her two charges — Miles and Flora. In what at first seems an idyllic post, the calm enjoyed by the Governess is soon disturbed when the children are visited by the ghosts of two former servants of the house — Miss Jessel and Peter Quint. What follows is a desperate effort to save the souls of the children from the grip of their past, and to cleanse the house of the evil spirits.
The production will be directed by Eric Gibson, opera director, and conducted by Miriam Burns, director of orchestras.

The production is FREE of charge, with donations of books, audiobooks on CD and DVDs being accepted for distribution to the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Check out this helpful list of what Friends of the Library can and cannot accept.
Thank you in advance for your donation. We'll see you at the show!
