Join the Ohio State Jazz Lab Ensemble for a "Panorama in Blue." This program will include Duke Ellington's famous blues/ballad I'm Just a Lucky So and So, and the lesser-known Sepia Panorama; Stan Kenton's exciting classic Artistry in Rhythm; two up-tempo burners - Bill Holman's Midnight Run and Sammy Nestico's Get Up and Go; John Coltrane's standard Blue Train, arranged by Kris Berg. Other selections include two Latin jazz compositions - Chico O'Farrill's Green Sunday and the Horace Silver standard, Song For My Father. Finally, a hard-swingin' arrangement of the Rogers and Hart classic, Bewitched (Bothered and Bewildered). Guest vocalists Laura Wadsworth (ASC-Speech and Hearing) and Darren Betts (Music Education) are featured. Jazz Lab Ensemble is directed by Kris Keith.
Tickets are $10/general admission; $5/senior citizens, Alumni Association members, non-OSU students and children. Free to ConcertCard holders, and Ohio State students, faculty and staff (one ticket per BuckID, presented in person).
