Welcome from the Clarinet Academy Director

Dear Students and Parents:

Greetings! We welcome you to The Ohio State University campus for four days of music-making. Bring an open mind, plenty of questions and lots of energy. Chamber music is at the heart of this program. In addition to private lessons, you will enjoy participating in ensembles, classes, performances and more.

I look forward to getting to know each of you personally.

Auditions

As part of your registration — BEFORE JUNE 7 — students are asked to submit an “audition” recording. Audio or video (video preferred) — 1 to 3 minutes in length. You can do this simply with your smartphone. Be sure that the sound is clear.

This is NOT an audition to get into the camp. Having a performance sample from each student, in advance, helps us get to know our attendees' playing level so that we can form strong chamber ensembles and offer a meaningful musical experience.

You will find instructions on the Clarinet Academy web page
