In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15–Oct. 15), the School of Music welcomes Argentine flutist Fabio Mazzitelli to campus. In addition to visiting local schools, performing at the Latin American Music Celebration Concert and at the Ohio Latin Americanist Conference, Fabio presents a recital with collaborative pianist Jiung Yoon. Sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies.
Programmed works are Amancio Alcorta's Gran Fantasía para flauta y piano, and two pieces by Alberto Williams — La colina sombreada para flauta y piano and Sonata Op. 48 para flauta y piano.
Fabio Mazzitelli, born in Argentina, is principal flute of the Orquesta Estable of the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. He is also a tenured professor of flute at the Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires, and the National University for the Arts. Story at CLAS guest artist event.

Getting Here
Park in the Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7), walk north along College Rd. to enter the south doors of the Timashev Music Building.
You may also park in Arps Garage (open to visitors M–F after 4 p.m. and on weekends) just north of the Timashev Music building.
The Timashev Recital Hall is located on the ground floor, at the far north end of the building.
