Join us as we celebrate music arranged for big band by noteworthy arrangers including Bob Curnow, arranging the music of Pat Matheny; Wynton Marsalis, arranging the music of John Coltrane; John Clayton, arranging the jazz standard, “On The Sunny Side of The Street;” Ohio State alumnus John Fedchock, arranging the jazz standard “East of the Sun,” featuring guest artist and fellow alumnus Hamilton Hardin on tenor saxophone; as well as many other jazz standards expertly arranged for jazz ensemble. Each a musical gem well worth taking note. Kristopher Keith, director. This performance is presented as part of the 43rd Annual Ohio State Jazz Festival.
