The Ohio State Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab Big Band present their joint opening concert of the academic year. Selections performed will reflect many facets of American repertoire over its nearly 100-year history.
Jazz Lab's program celebrates the music of Dizzy Gillespie including "Groovin' High," "A Night in Tunisia" and more, as well as "Manteca" and Chano Pozo's "Gonzales" in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Michael Smith, director.
