School of Music alumnus Tony Weikel (DMA 2015, trombone), Caroline B. Salido-Barta, guest pianist, and Sterling Tanner, bass trombone, present a recital. Selections include "Elegy for Mippy" II for Trombone Alone, Leonard Bernstein; Concertino for Trombone and Piano, Ferdinand David/rev. Robert Mueller; Sonate for Trombone and Piano, Paul Hindemith; Nocturno for Horn and Piano, Franz Strauss/trans. Mark Lawrence. Tony Weikel and Sterling Tanner perform the Devil’s Waltz by Steven Verhelst.

This event is free and open to the public. No ticket required.


Many School of Music performances will be held in Hughes Hall Auditorium while construction to Weigel Hall is underway. Hughes Auditorium accommodates a smaller audience and allows entry only during applause. Please plan ahead.

Note that the accessible entrance is located at the North end of the building. For evening and weekend performances, the closest parking is in Arps Garage.
