2021-09-29 20:00:00 2021-09-29 21:30:00 Faculty recital: Barry Green, double bass Barry Green, professor of double bass and author of the iconic book, The Inner Game of Music, presents a multi-media and narrated production, "From Russia with Love," with special guest pianist Dianne Frazer, and featuring the Ohio State Buckeye Basses performing Khachaturian's "Sabre Dance" and Prokofiev's "The Love of Three Oranges." This concert is not a "traditional" recital. It is so much more. Barry, the Buckeye Basses and friends will present a history lesson about the great tradition of 12 Russian composers of the Romantic period. The journey will feature visuals of the lives, politics, history, hobbies and music, all narrated by native Russian speakers. The soundtrack will begin with music from James Bond and Dr. Zhivago and then dive into the rich history of these artists and their iconic compositions.
