Guitarist Karl Wohlwend and School of Music faculty colleagues present a program which will include Blood Wedding Sketches, an original work composed by the performer. This piece was inspired by a collaborative project that Wohlwend did with The Ohio State University's Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts.
Also featured on the program: a sonata for guitar and oboe by Ferdinand Rebay, two Brazilian-inspired works for trombone and guitar, and the Sonata for Guitar, Violin, Viola, and 'Cello by Manuel Ponce.
Wohlwend is honored to be joined by faculty collaborators Abby Yeakle Held, oboe; Elisabeth Shafer, trombone; Andrii Isakov, violin; Juliet White-Smith, viola; and Julia Yang, cello.
This event is free and open to the public. No ticket required.
A digital program link will be provided prior to the event.
