Danzmayr to speak at spring convocation

The School of Music welcomes David Danzmayr, the newly appointed conductor of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, as guest speaker for the January 23 convocation for SOM students, faculty and staff.  Danzmayr will conduct ProMusica concerts January 26-27 and February 23-24.

The School salutes ProMusica and proudly acknowledges our esteemed association with Timothy Russell, music director and OSU alumnus.  Ensemble members who are School faculty include Katherine Borst Jones, flute; Robert Gillespie, violin; Timothy Leasure, trumpet; Jeanne Norton, harp; Paul Robinson, double bass; as well as faculty emeriti Thomas Battenberg, trumpet and Charles Waddell, horn.

The convocation is at 11:30 a.m. in Weigel Auditorium; attendance is mandatory for all School of Music students.
