The Voice area in the Ohio State School of Music cordially invites you to join us for World Voice Day which will be celebrated internationally on April 16. The day's events will be livestreamed.
Livestream broadcast begins at 9 a.m.
Established in 2005, the Singing Health Specialization (SHS) at Ohio State, led by Dr. Karen Peeler and Speech and Language Pathologist Kerrie Obert, reflected a new commitment to embrace collaboration by merging Voice, Speech and Hearing, and Otolaryngology. The current program continues to push the progress of voice research and application through its expanding faculty and the research conducted by students pursuing the specialization.
This event will highlight the foundations and future of the SHS. We welcome Dr. Brian Gill of Indiana University as keynote speaker, in addition to student and expert research presentations, breakout sessions focused on performance medical intervention, a concert and reception. Notably, this year's event will also honor the incredible efforts and work of Professor Emerita Helen Swank, one of the founders of the Singing Health Specialization.
This event is FREE. Registration is required. Visit World Voice Day
