Topics will include accommodations, sensory-friendly concerts, inclusive language training, and advocacy. Dr. Heath Reynolds will also share her recent research in this area. Lecture times are 8 a.m., 9:35 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15. All events are open to the public. This event is sponsored by the Music Education area in the School of Music.  Julia Heath Reynolds currently serves as assistant professor of Music Education at Belmont University. Previously, Dr. Heath Reynolds taught Elementary and Secondary General Music and Music in Special Education at Indiana State University. As a member of NAfME and ISME, Dr. Heath Reynolds is active in the field of music education and has presented research and workshops at the state, national and international level. She currently serves as chair for the NAfME Children with Exceptionalities SRIG. She holds BME, MME and PhD in Music Education degrees from Florida State University. Her research focus includes music for special learners in primary and secondary schools, music educator training, and nonverbal communication in the music classroom. All events are subject to change. GETTING HERE While the new building for Theatre, Film and Media Arts remains under construction, the North side of the Timashev Music Building remains closed.  Park in the Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7), walk North along College Rd. to enter the South doors of the Timashev Music Building.
