Sarah Baker, a doctoral graduate teaching associate, received her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Northern Iowa and Master of Music in Wind Band Conducting from Northern Arizona University. Her primary conducting influences are Danny Galyen, Stephen Meyer, Brent Levine and Russell C. Mikkelson.
Prior to coming to Ohio, Baker taught in Arizona where her ensembles consistently earned Superior ratings and awards. Her middle school indoor drumline competed successfully statewide at the high school level. She is a clinician and saxophonist, and has taught privately for nearly 10 years.
Baker’s professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Collegiate Band Directors National Association, Iowa Bandmasters Association, Arizona Music Educators Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
