Infant Music Class — La clase de musica para bebés

The Community Music School (CMS) Infant Music Class is a music program designed for Latinx families with children aged 0 to 36 months. The class uses music to celebrate and strengthen cultural diversity at home. Families will enjoy both structured and free activities that encourage creativity and build a supportive community. They will also receive resources to keep making music at home, focusing on culturally relevant songs, rhymes, and music games.
Academic and Research Component: The program is part of Desde el Principio: Engaging Parents in Their Children's Learning, developed by Natalia Moreno Buitrago, PhD Candidate in Music Education, and Eugenia Costa-Giomi, Professor of Music Education at The Ohio State University. This research explores how family-based musical experiences contribute to emotional well-being, cultural connection, and child development. Findings will be shared with educators, researchers, and they broader community, strengthing the scientific and cultural foundations of inclusive, bilingual family programs.

Utiliza la música para celebrar y fortalecer la diversidad cultural en el hogar. Las familias disfrutarán de actividades estructuradas y libres que fomentan la creatividad y crean un espacio de apoyo comunitario. Además, recibirán recursos para continuar haciendo música en casa, con un enfoque en canciones, rimas y juegos musicales que reflejan su cultura.

- Metered parking is free on High Street on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
TIMES — The CMS Infant Music Class will meet on Sundays from 3–3:50 p.m. on the following dates:
- February 1, 8, 22
- March 1, 8, 15, 29
- April 12
- April 5 - Easter. No class.
Class cancellation policy — In a weather emergency, the class will occur online and will not be made up in-person or refunded.
ELIGIBILITY — Infants and Toddlers, ages 0 to 36 months
MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT — 10
Participants are enrolled in order of date and time their registration is received. Register as soon as possible to reserve your spot. If you have been placed on a waitlist, we ask that you do not show up for the class unless we notify you of an opening. Registration and payment must be completed before a student can attend. In a weather emergency, the class will occur online and will not be made up in-person or refunded.
Minimum enrollment of three (3) participants is required for the class. This class is subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. If the class is cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be notified in advance and payment will be refunded.

STEP 2 — Submit payment.

In the CMS eStore, be sure to select the Infant Music Class product at $50. Do not select the CMS Classes product.
Shortly after submitting payment, you will receive an email confirming the transaction.

What's Next?
