Joseph Carver is a second-year PhD student in music education at The Ohio State University. He serves as a graduate teaching associate in music education as well as a graduate assistant director for the marching and athletic bands. Prior to beginning graduate work at Ohio State, Mr. Carver taught public school in Licking County, Ohio, at Johnstown-Monroe High School.

A native of central Ohio and graduate of Hilliard Darby High School, Carver is an alumni member of The Ohio University Marching 110, The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Disneyland All-American Marching Band, where he served as assistant director in 2006. Carver holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in Music Education from Ohio University. He currently resides in Johnstown, Ohio with his wife Laura and two young sons, Brayden and Keegan.
