Dale Beaver

Music Education

Dale Beaver, RMT, has a BMus from the University of Mt. Union and graduate work at The Ohio State University. After a 10-year period of apprenticeship, he became a certified teaching member of Alexander Technique International, and has taught Alexander Technique workshops at colleges throughout the Midwest. At Ohio State, he teaches Alexander Technique in the School of Music, the Department of Dance, and the Department of Theater. Extended Workshop teaching includes clinics throughout the Great Lakes region and summer residential courses in Virginia and Washington as well as the December workshop at Ohio State. He is also certified at the Advanced Practitioner Level in Nervous System Energy work. Beaver has been an organist and choir director for over 35 years, and runs a private vocal studio. He has recently been appointed director of the newly established wellness program for music students, faculty and staff in the School of Music.
