The Ohio State University welcomes The United States Air Force Academy Band’s woodwind quintet, Academy Winds, to the School of Music. This versatile ensemble will present a 90-minute performance workshop at 11:30 a.m. in the Timashev Family Music Building, Room 160. Students will hear the Academy Winds perform and then observe them coach several of our student chamber ensembles.
The Academy Winds is an exciting component ensemble of the USAF Academy Band. Drawing on fresh, dynamic arrangements, the group presents a wide variety of musical styles with contagious enthusiasm. The members of Academy Winds have studied at some of the most prestigious universities and music conservatories in the country. The group uses that education to perform spectacular public concerts and to offer outreach to high school and college students through clinics and master classes. Academy Winds guarantees a memorable musical experience!

Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7) — located just south of the Timashev Music building, next to the Ohio Union.
- A good choice for events in Weigel Auditorium, just inside the south end of the building, across from the Oval.
- The only choice for visitors M–F, before 4 p.m.
Weigel Auditorium is on the second floor, via a staircase in the south lobby.
- The elevator to Weigel Auditorium is in the back hallway, located behind the Music Commons.
