2022-09-16 20:00:00 2022-09-16 21:30:00 Parent and Family Weekend Concert School of Music students will present a showcase concert in association with Ohio State’s Parent and Family Weekend, which offers many events and activities planned especially for students and families. All are welcome to this free performance. The program includes selections by Salzedo, Rutter, Beethoven, Brubeck, Corea, Flores and more. Solo and duo participants are Chenyu Wang, piano; C. J. McGhee, bass trombone; Katerina Warner, mezzo-soprano, Samantha Sayar, soprano, and Darren K. Templeton, bass-baritone, with Philip Everingham, collaborative pianist; harp duo, Jillian Davis and Josephine Davis; woodwind duo, Allie Gerckens, flute and Rohit Kolluri, clarinet; Anita Yi-Chieh Chiu, violin and Huiwen Jiang, piano; jazz duo, Parker Lewis, trombone and Nathan Snyder, piano; and The Ohio State University Flute Troupe, Katherine Borst Jones, director. Access a digital Concert program before, during or after the concert. No paper programs will be distributed. All events are subject to change. GETTING HERE While the new building for Theatre, Film and Media Arts remains under construction, the North side of the Timashev Music Building remains closed.  Park in the Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7), walk North along College Rd. to enter the South doors of the Timashev Music Building. Weigel Auditorium is located on the second floor at the far south end of the building. An open stairway located just inside the south doors leads to the hall. If an elevator is needed, walk through the Music Commons, behind the open stairway to the back hallway. Follow the hallway through the double doors to the elevator.
