
This recital features student solo and chamber performances by Ohio State School of Music students who are nominated by their instructors, spotlighting the "best of the best" undergraduate and graduate students in the school.
Performers of solo or duo selections include Shine Wu, piano; Christian S. Clark, baritone and James Jenkins, piano; Jenna McBride-Harris, horn and Jiung Yoon, piano; Cory Blais, cello; Bianca Kumar, oboe; Nomi Joy Marcus and Johnny Mendoza, marimbas.
A movement from Weber's Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in Bb Major is performed by Zachary Dierickx, clarinet; Julia Johnson, violin; Leah Anderson, violin; Rachael Keplin, viola; and Samuel Johnson, cello. Villa-Lobos' Ária from Bachianas Brasilieras features Emily Brand, soprano; the OSU Cello Orchestra comprised of Sara Bechtel, Cory Blais, Michelle Chan, Stephen Forster, Hanna Hicks, Elisabeth Jeremica, Samuel Johnson, Christopher Moehlenkamp, Eric Magnuson, Mitchell Myers, Jered Ross, Caitlyn Trevor, Samantha Westrick; Mark Rudoff, director.
The OSU Jazz Fusion Combo concludes the program with Joe Graziosi's adaptation of Miguel Zenon's Collective Overture.
