Critics have hailed the Blakemore Trio for their “riveting intensity,” and “all-but-perfect sense of ensemble, expressive phrasing, and great intonation.” Since forming at Vanderbilt University in 2002, the Blakemore has developed a national reputation, making their New York debut at Merkin Hall in 2010 and releasing critically acclaimed 2013 recordings on the Blue Griffin and Albany labels.

Program selections for their first Columbus appearance include Beethoven's Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 1, No. 3; Adam Schoenberg's Luna y Mar (2012) and Schumann's Piano Trio No. 2 in F major, Op. 80.
