The Ohio State Gospel Choir is an exciting group of vocalists who sing with power and skill that moves audiences to their feet. The group is comprised of more than 40 singers with diverse backgrounds. The choir sings a varied repertoire of music from the most contemporary praise and worship songs of Israel Houghton to the traditional gospel choir songs of the Mississippi Mass Choir. The Art Blakey Jazz Combo will accompany the choir, featuring gospel-style instrumental arrangements by the group's pianist, David Swank. A special feature of all our concerts is the invitation to the audience to experience singing in the gospel style as they join the choir on stage for this enjoyable and uplifting experience.
