IMMERSE Sensory-Friendly Concert

Immerse Sensory-Friendly Concert
October 25, 2025
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
WOSU Public Media, 1800 N. Pearl

On Saturday, October 25, 2025 WOSU will host IMMERSE, an interactive, sensory-friendly concert for those ages 6–12 who are autistic. The concerts sessions will be held at 1 and 3 p.m.

These hour-long sessions will feature a short concert and a chance for attendees to interact with the music and the musicians through art, music and movement activities.

This program is designed with your child’s sensory needs in mind. Music will be performed by small groups, without amplification. There will be a variety of seating options, including “concert hall” seating, tables with chairs, and comfortable floor seating.

There will also be a quiet area adjacent to the performance space where participants can get some separation from the concert if they’re feeling overwhelmed, yet still hear the music.

The event is FREE, but registration is required and limited to 15 students per session. You may register for one of two sessions on Saturday, October 25 at 1 p.m. or 3 p.m.

IMMERSE is a joint project between WOSU Public Media’s Classical 101, The Ohio State University School of Music and The Ohio State University Nisonger Center, with funding support from Norma Hedgecoth and corporate support from Carlile Patchen & Murphy.

IMMERSE will be held at WOSU Public Media headquarters, located at 1800 N. Pearl Street. Convenient parking is available in the Ohio Union North Garage. Parking validation is included with event registration.
