Sharma and several student soloists selected as winners of the annual Ohio State undergraduate and master's student concerto competition held in November. The ensemble will perform the world premiere of Sharma's work, In plain sight. Student soloists and their selections include Lucinda Dunne, soprano saxophone, Marcello's Concerto for Oboe and Strings in C minor for Soprano Sax, movements 2 and 3; Saoirse Hurley, Pichl's Bass Concerto, movement 1; Annie Moon, Strauss' Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat; Lucy Reed, Elgar's Cello Concerto, movements 1 and 2; Samantha Sayar, soprano, Weber's "Kommt ein schlanker Bursch gegangen" from Der Freischütz. Meet the soloists.Miriam Burns, conductor; Malik Khalfani and Sarah Baker, graduate associate conductors.This event is free and open to the public. An open stairway located just inside the south doors leads to the hall.If an elevator is needed, walk through the Music Commons, behind the open stairway to the back hallway. GETTING HERE

Park in the Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7), walk North along College Rd. to enter the South doors of the Timashev Music Building.
