Barry Green, professor of double bass and author of the iconic book, The Inner Game of Music, presents a recital with School of Music faculty, graduate students and guest artists. The program, Anna’s Gift: The Way of Passion, is a multi-media narrated production with background visuals and a small ensemble. Story by Alan Scofield, music by Andrés Martín, concept and double bass solos by Barry Green.
Guest artists include Miriam Burns, conductor; Mary Tarbell-Green, narrator; Susan Powell and Joseph Krygier, percussion; Shawn Wallace, woodwinds; Dianne Frazer, piano.
With School of Music graduate students Allison Powell and Austin Suarez, bass clarinets; Amelia DuPlain, Ben Shaheen and Joseph Spearman, percussion; and Dallas Carpenter, bass.
This concert is free and open to the public. No ticket required.
Many School of Music performances will be held in Hughes Hall Auditorium while construction to Weigel Hall is underway. Hughes Auditorium accommodates a smaller audience and allows entry only during applause. Please plan ahead.
Note that the accessible entrance is located at the North end of the building. For evening and weekend performances, the closest parking is in Arps Garage.
