Marissa Stewart works with undergraduate students to support student success, retention and development throughout their collegiate experience. Prior to joining the School of Music, Marissa served as the academic advisor for the Department of Art and began her Ohio State career as a lecturer in photography in that same department. These experiences have provided her with a broad understanding of the student experience and a passion for helping students navigate their academic journey.

In addition to her work in higher education, she maintains an active artistic practice as a visual artist and has exhibited her work nationally. Her work has appeared in galleries and museums throughout the country, including being featured in “Of COVID: A Collective Trauma,” a publication included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Southern Oregon University, and Coastal Carolina University.
