Zachary Dierickx is pursuing a DMA in clarinet performance at The Ohio State University where he studies with Dr. Caroline A. Hartig. Dierickx serves as graduate teaching associate of the clarinet studio and performs with the OSU Symphony Orchestra and Wind Symphony. In addition to his clarinet studies at Ohio State, Dierickx has taken on a number of diverse roles including taking conducting lessons with Dr. Russel C. Mikkelson, director of bands; serving as registrar for the Youth Summer Music Programs; and leading the Graduate Music Student Association as president. Outside of the university, he is an active freelancer and private teacher, having performed with the Canton (OH), Westerville (OH), McConnell Arts Center (OH), Greater Grand Forks (ND), and Fargo Moorhead (ND) Symphony Orchestras. Dierickx received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Concordia College (Moorhead, Minnesota) and his Master of Music degree in clarinet performance from Ohio State.
