2018-03-21 00:00:00 2018-03-25 00:00:00 41st Annual Jazz Festival Join us at this year’s festival, which will feature the Ohio State Symphony Orchestra with the Ohio Jaztet in a headline concert, "Charlie Parker with Strings," with guest saxophone artists Donald Harrison, J. D. Allen, Michael Cox and Pete Mills. Other festival performances include the opening concert featuring guest vibraphonist Rusty Burge with OSU faculty musicians Jim Rupp, Andy Woodson and Mark Rubinstein; The Ohio Jaztet with guest percussionist Quincy Davis, the Ohio Show Band featuring guest vocalist Quan Howell in a Motown review, College Day featuring all the Ohio State big bands and jazz combos, and the closing concert by the OSU Jazz Ensemble featuring alumnus and guest composer/director Ladd McIntosh. All performances and the master class are free and open to the public, with the exception of the Saturday evening headline concert. We also welcome back OSU Professor Emeritus Ted McDaniel as special guest speaker.
