Applying for Academic Year 2025–2026

Step 1: Know the Deadlines 

University Application:

  • Early Action: November 1, 2024 (must apply by Nov. 1 for merit scholarship consideration)
  • Regular Decision: January 15, 2025

School of Music Acceptd® Application — All applications should be submitted by February 1, 2025 —OR two weeks prior to your chosen audition date, whichever comes first.

Step 2: Apply to The Ohio State University

  1. Review all university deadlines and requirements for incoming freshmen and transfer students.
    • Apply by November 1 if you wish to be considered for most university merit scholarships.
    • Visit Undergraduate Cost + Aid for more information on university financial aid and scholarships.
       
  2. Apply to the university for academic year 2025–2026.

Step 3: Apply to the School of Music

  1. Apply to the School of Music via Acceptd®:
    • There is an $18 application fee. (To see if you qualify for an Acceptd® fee waiver, visit Acceptd Support.)
    • All applications should be submitted by February 1, 2025, —ORtwo weeks prior to your chosen audition date, whichever comes first.
       
  2. As part of the application process, you will be asked to select an audition date. Audition dates for admission for the 2025–2026 academic year:
    • Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024
    • Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025
    • Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025 (No oboe *)
       
  3. Refer to Audition Requirements for repertoire suggestions, requirements for your audition and instructions to create and upload a video if you cannot attend a live audition.
    • All auditions — whether in person, virtual or recorded — will receive full and equitable consideration for admission.

School of Music Scholarships
