A new event entitled How to Explore Diverse Career Paths: A Workshop for Doctoral Students will be presented via Zoom by Dr. Rob Pearson, Assistant Dean of Professional Development and Career Planning, Emory University.
Holders of doctoral degrees pursue work in every sector. The skills you have cultivated as a graduate student — including oral and written communication, problem-solving, and information management — are of great value in many workplaces. In this workshop we discuss how to identify and present your translatable and transferrable skills, how to learn about careers that might fit you, and how to make connections and apply for jobs in the field of your choice.
Attendance is free. Registrants will receive an email with the Zoom meeting link.
If you require an accommodation to participate in this workshop, please email the event host, Dr. Danielle Fosler-Lussier (firstname.lastname@example.org). Requests made two weeks before an event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet all requests.
