Following further advice from his trusted colleagues Clara Schumann and Joseph Joachim, the work eventually found its way to becoming the composer's only piano quintet. Join Juliet White-Smith and Ohio State and guest colleagues in a performance of this beloved masterpiece. The program opens with Paul Hindemith's Sonata for Viola and Piano, Op. 11, No. 4, a popular work among violists, pianists and audiences alike.This concert is free and open to the public. Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34

Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7) — located just south of the Timashev Music building, next to the Ohio Union. 

  • A good choice for events in Weigel Auditorium, just inside the south end of the building, across from the Oval.
  • The only choice for visitors M–F, before 4 p.m.
