Parent and Family Weekend Concert

Add to Calendar 2021-10-23 16:00:00 2021-10-23 17:30:00 Parent and Family Weekend Concert School of Music students will present a showcase concert in association with Ohio State’s Parent and Family Weekend, which offers many events and activities planned especially for students and families.  All are welcome to this performance. The event is free and open to the public. The program includes selections by Mouquet, Arnold, Jacob, Bozza, Lazarus, Perkinson, Verhelst, de Sarasate, Olivier Messiaen and Antonin Dvořák, as well as an arrangement by Emerson Slicer. Solo and chamber performers include Sofia Geelhood, flute with Casey Cook, piano; Kaleigh McGee, clarinet; Lorien Parkinson, oboe and Dustin Gourley, bassoon; Lexi Biondo, flute; Maddy Brickner and Diana Sari, clarinets; Mathew Kinnear, violin; C. J. McGhee, bass trombone; Vani Shukla, violin; Trevor Healy, horn; a string trio — Matt Kinnear, violin; Boris Chalakov, cello and Karen Zhang, piano; and the Statesmen, who will present Emerson Slicer's arrangement of "Spinning Wheel" by David Clayton-Thomas.
