
The School of Music welcomes the Woodwind Quintet from Pershing’s Own Army Band, Washington, DC. The quintet will present a recital at 11:30 a.m. in Timashev Recital Hall. All are invited to attend this performance. A Q&A session after the performance is a great opportunity to learn about music careers in the military.
Afterwards, the quintet members will give masterclasses from 12:30–1:30 in the Timashev locations listed below. Ohio State students are welcome to observe a masterclass of their choosing, even if you do not play one of these instruments.

These events are free and open to the public.
Founded in 1996, The U.S. Army Woodwind Quintet is one of the Army’s premier chamber ensembles. An element of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” the quintet is frequently called upon in support of high-level military and civilian events at the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, and other locations around Washington, DC.

Park in the Ohio Union South Garage (open to visitors 24/7), walk north along College Rd. to enter the south doors of the Timashev Music Building.
The Timashev Recital Hall is located on the first floor at the far north end of the building.
