Isabelle Thomas is pursuing the Master of Arts degree in music theory and serves as a graduate teaching associate for music theory and aural training. In 2023, Isabelle earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, focusing on instrumental instruction K–12 and classical percussion at William Paterson University, earning the distinction of magna cum laude. There, Isabelle served as a tutor for levels I–IV music theory, aural training, and class piano for two years. Isabelle has a passion for music theory and education. She has taught a variety of age levels in piano, percussion and voice. She worked as a marching band percussion instructor and a music director for community theatre. In addition to teaching, Isabelle loves to perform. As a percussionist, she has performed in pit orchestras, the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps, and various chamber ensembles during her time at William Paterson University. Some of her research interests include musical theatre, Renaissance, and Monteverdi. Outside of music, Isabelle loves to craft and sew, and is a big Taylor Swift fan.
