Percussion Ensemble

The Ohio State University Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Joseph Krygier and Susan Powell and assisted by DMA students Mario Marini and Lane Summerlin, presents their first concert of the season. The program will feature a wide array of percussive sounds, and include music that spans from the early 1940s to the present day.

Specific works being performed include Kyoto, John Psathas; Gasoline Rainbow, Adam Silverman; In Praise of Johnny Appleseed, Lou Harrison; Ursprung/Glantor ("Origins/Glades"), Henrik Strindberg; Exploration of Time; Eckhart Kopetski; Cadence, Russell Hartenberger; Prelude and Dance, Ronald LoPresti; and Scavenger Music, Christopher Deane.
